HOSMER LAKE MEMBER OUTINGThis coming Monday, October 28, 2019Meet @ 9:00am near the boat launch
A fly fishing only catch-and-release lake, where only electric motors and manual propulsion methods are allowed, Hosmer is best known for its feisty Crane Prairie Rainbow and cunning Cutthroat Trout, but also supports a population of large Brookies too! Please RSVP to Rynie at rynieSRA@gmail.com, or by calling her at 925-864-7844, if you would like to join this Sunriver Anglers' End of Season fishing event. WHAT TO BRING: > Hosmer is best fished from a float tube, small boat, or pontoon boat. > It may be cold so dress accordingly. The current forecast is clear skies, with a high of 63 degrees, but chilly in the morning. > Bring your own snacks, drinks, and lunch. Coffee, water, and limited other beverages will be available, along with dessert! Fall is a great time to fish Hosmer, when the fish begin to stack up near the reed lines along the edges. They can be caught on fast stripped white or flashy Woolly Buggers, Caddis Skaters, or Chironomid & Indicator set-ups. A dry/dropper caddis and nymph offering can also prove to be very effective (including some flashy yellow, orange, and reds for the Cutthroat Trout). Much appreciation to our Event Leaders, Mal Murphy and Rynie Miyashiro, for putting this together. Tight lines, SUNRIVER ANGLERS
