FISHING - CONSERVATION - EDUCATION
Rynie Miyashiro is leading an "end of season" fishing outing to Hosmer Lake, this Wednesday, October 17th. She is inviting Sunriver Angler Members and their guests to please RSVP to her if interested at: ryniesra@gmail.com.
A fly fishing only catch-and-release lake, where only electric motors and manual propulsion methods are allowed, Hosmer is best known for its feisty Crane Prairie Rainbow and cunning Cutthroat Trout, but also supports a strong population of Brookies too!
Damsel, Callibaetis and Chironomid patterns are the common go-to fly, but depending on the season and weather conditions, a dry/dropper caddis and nymph offering or stripping Olive Leeches can also prove to be very effective (including some flashy yellow and reds for the cutthroat).
A lunch is planned for 12:30 where a $5.00 donation to the club is requested to cover to help with the cost. Float tubes or small boats are recommended. The weather predictions look unusually great for this Wednesday outing, so please let Rynie know if you would like to join the outing!
